Broome County Legislator, Jason Garner will be stepping down by the year’s end. According to Garner, his family has purchased a home outside of his district and plans to move by the end of the year. Garner has not given an exact date for his official resignation. If he resigns after September 20th, the Broome County Democrats can nominate another person from within their party. If Garner resigns before September 20th, his seat would be on a ballot in November.
