Broome County Executive Debbie Preston has appointed two new department heads for the new year. Jamie Kelly was named the director of the Office for Aging and James Tripp was dubbed the director of the Office of Employment and Training. Kelly, a Vestal resident, will be replacing the retiring Kathy Bunnell, who has been working with senior citizens in Broome County since 1995. Tripp is a Johnson City resident and Army veteran, and also was the president and co-founder of Hidden Valley Electronics. He will be replacing the retiring Terry Stark. Both appointments must be confirmed by Broome County Legislature within six months.
