Cause of Accident on Route 17 Determined

DWI is believed to be the official cause of the accident on Route 17 Westbound Monday afternoon. According to police, an intoxicated tow truck driver, 29-year-old Carl Mosier of Sayre, rear ended a tractor trailer, and then overcorrected. The tow truck, with a sedan on its flatbed, and a camper in tow then went off of the side of the road. Responding crews worked for hours to clear the scene. Mosier has since been ticketed for felony DWI.
