Broome County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Conklin man early Sunday morning after he was found with just under one half pound of marijuana. Around 3:30 Sunday morning, deputies responded to the area of Stillwater Road in Conklin for a report of youths trying to enter locked cars, and when they approached a parked car, the driver of the vehicle quickly attempted to leave. 20-year-old Brendon Bonsell was found to be in possession of alcohol and a backpack containing the marijuana.

It was determined that he was not involved with the report of breaking into vehicles, but he was arrested with a misdemeanor charge for the marijuana possession. Bonsell was also on probation for a narcotics-related offense.
