The Broome County Sheriff’s office went to pick up a suspect for a probation violation Monday evening and found drugs that led to an arrest of a Town of Conklin man. 28-year old Mathew Slavetskas was taken into custody after deputies found illegal prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle and issued court appearance tickets on the narcotics charges. He was remanded to the Broome County jail on the probation violation.
