Crews responded to a building fire on Airport Road in Endicott Wednesday afternoon. The fire was reported just before 4:25 this afternoon at 326 Airport Road in West Endicott. West Corners’ Assistant Fire Chief Marc Loveland said a structure behind a residence caught fire. The fire spread to two different garages. Firefighters had it under control and knocked down within about 15 minutes. Loveland said the quick execution from the firefighters eliminated a larger threat. The building that caught on fire is destroyed. Crews from West Corners, Endicott, and Endwell were called to the scene. The cause remains under investigation.
