The Broome County Sheriff’s Office captured a man after a hit and run and ensuing car chase through the Town of Union. According to the sheriff’s office, 35-year-old Paul June of Endicott was driving a red Saturn and struck another car on George F. Highway. June restarted his car and began to flee the scene traveling west, when he struck the front of a patrol car. That deputy chased the male driver to Hooper Road in Endwell. June continued driving with his hood up over the windshield. The deputy finally stopped June and took him into custody. June was found to be intoxicated. During the chase, the deputy’s car suffered some damage and the red Saturn was heavily damaged. June was sent to the Broome County jail without bail. He will be arraigned in the Town of Union Court.
