Police in Endicott arrested a man they believe is responsible for an armed robbery. According to police, Anthony Gutek entered the Runway Convenience Store on Main Street around 5 a.m. on Monday. They said he was wearing a mask and was armed with an edged weapon. Gutek demanded money from the register, and locked the clerk inside the cooler. However, an off-duty New York State Trooper saw Gutek get into his vehicle and called 911. He was arrested and is now being held in Endicott Police Lockup pending arraignment.
