On Wednesday, the Endicott Police arrested Daniel White, 27, of Johnson City on felony charges of Burglary, Attempted Rape, and Sexual Abuse.
The Endicott Police responded to a residence on Monroe St. at 0420 a.m. for a report of a burglary that just occurred.
The victim was staying at a friend’s residence, because of a domestic incident between her and White, her ex-boyfriend, earlier in the evening.
White is accused of climbing through an unlocked window, watching the victim while she was sleeping, taking her cell phone and sending texts from it, sexually abusing and attempting to rape the victim while she was asleep.
The victim awoke to find White naked in her bed and after a brief confrontation White fled the scene.
He was located at his residence by the Johnson City Police Department and taken into custody.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries during the incident.
WHITE was arraigned in the Village of Endicott court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
