A Broome County Grand Jury has handed down an indictment against an Endicott man for felony Assault on a 2-year-old child. 32-year-old Michael Merwin is alleged to have assaulted the child with intent to injure. He was also charged with misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The indictment says that the child was in fact injured. Merwin was arrested on November 5th, by the Endicott Police Department, following an investigation into the incident.
