The eastbound lanes of Route 17 have reopened following a fatal accident Tuesday evening. New York State Police reported a multi-vehicle crash on Route 17 East at Exit 90 near East Branch. The eastbound lanes were closed at the exit and traffic was re-routed after the accident, but the lanes were re-opened early Wednesday morning. State Police have not released information as to whether the crash was related to the weather, and the identity of the victim has also not been released at this time.
