A flash flood watch is in effect until 2 o’clock this afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, some storms have potential to produce very heavy rainfall. Flash flooding along smaller creeks and streams as well as urban areas throughout the Southern Tier is possible. Storms today also have the ability to create strong winds according to the weather service. Showers and storms remain in the daily forecast through the middle of next week.
