A Flood Warning has been issued for the Susquehanna River in Vestal beginning at 7pm. The river was measured at 16 feet this morning, and is expected to rise above the 18-foot flood stage tonight and crest at close to 21 feet early tomorrow morning. That would put the river near moderate flood stage, meaning that water could reach some structures or cover roads along the river. The river is expected to reach minor flood stage in Conklin tonight, and Waverly early tomorrow. No significant flooding is expected in the Southern Tier. We will continue to monitor the situation and bring you updates as needed on WEBO.
