State troopers say a Utica man led police on a high-speed chase in Broome and Cortland counties in a stolen car.State Police say a trooper tried to pull over a vehicle on Interstate 81 northbound in the town of Barker on the morning of October 8. Officials say the vehicle was reported stolen from the city of Binghamton earlier that morning. 34-year-old Scott Mowry led police on a chase in Broome and Cortland Counties hitting a top speed of more than 100 miles per hour.The chase ended when Mowry crashed into a Broome County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle on 81. Mowry fled on foot, but police say he was arrested shortly after.Mowry was arraigned in Town of Virgil Court on multiple charges and sent to the Cortland County Correctional Facility without bail.No officers were hurt in the pursuit.
