The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force has concluded an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine in the Broome County area. 32-year-old Forest Byrd of the Bronx was arrested in a parking lot on Harry L Drive in Johnson City. Byrd was found to have three ounces of meth in his possession. In a search of his hotel room, he was found to have three ounces of marijuana and materials often used in the packaging and sale of drugs. Byrd has been charged with two felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and two misdemeanor counts. He was arraigned and remanded to the Broome County Jail pending additional court action.
