A Brooklyn teen will spend 10 years in prison after two robberies committed in the Southern Tier. On Wednesday, officials sentenced 19-year-old Emmanuel Peterson to consecutive five-year terms in state prison and five years of post release supervision. Peterson pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery in May. He admitted to robberies at both the Manley’s Mighty Mart on Riverside Drive in Johnson City in December and the Manley’s on Downs Avenue in Dickinson eleven days later. In both crimes, Peterson held the store clerks at gunpoint, and on Riverside Drive he locked the cashier in a closet during the robbery.
