The Johnson City Fire Department responded to a structure fire just after 5 o’clock this morning. When crews arrived at Hank’s Warehouse at 101 Lester Avenue, they found smoke coming from a heater vent. Firefighters had to force their way in the first-floor door and were able to contain the fire to the utility room. The fire was out within 25 minutes, but smoke damage was reported throughout the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
