Johnson City leaders are asking for ideas to revitalize their community. Johnson City officials have scheduled what is called an Innovation District Revitalization Strategy Workshop … that’s the government’s way of asking for ideas about development projects in the downtown area. Two events are scheduled today … first, a walking tour from 5 to 6pm though the downtown will highlight upcoming projects. Residents are asked to meet at 4:45pm at Binghamton Brewing, 15 Avenue B for the three-quarter mile tour. From 6:15 to 8pm today, residents can stop anytime at Binghamton Brewing to share idea for the future of downtown Johnson City. New York state is provided funding for the strategy workshop from the Environmental Protection Fund and the Brownfield Opportunity Program.
