A Johnson City man has been arrested after his girlfriend accused him of hitting her. 27-year-old Daiquan Avery allegedly punched his girlfriend repeatedly in the face, according to village police. A woman reportedly came to police headquarters to report the incident, which took place at her home. The victim had visible bruising to her eye and nose, and also had an order of protection against Avery. Avery was located a few hours later by patrol officers. He has been charged with first-degree contempt, and second-degree harassment. He was sent to the Broome County Jail.
