A Johnson City man was sentenced Friday in Broome County Court for seriously injuring a 5-month-old baby.The 22-year-old man was sentenced to three years in prison and three years of probation.Johnson City Police say he seriously injured his five-month old baby while it was in his care in September of 2015. He was charged with reckless assault of a child, a class D felony.The child was treated at UHS Wilson Hospital and a pediatric Hospital in Syracuse. The investigation began after a report was made to the NYS Child Abuse Registry.
