The Johnson City man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter following a deadly shooting back in 2012 was handed a 14-year prison sentence. 23-year-old Derrick Mann was sentenced Monday morning in Broome County Court. In addition to the 14 years behind bars, Mann will also have five years of post-release supervision. He pleaded guilty to the manslaughter charge back in November after initially facing a second degree murder charge, which carries a sentence of 25-years to life in prison. Mann was charged after a shooting in April of 2012 on Grand Avenue in Johnson City that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Genesis Lee. Lee was not the intended target of the shooting, and two others were injured in the incident.
