A Johnson City man was arrested Tuesday afternoon when he tried to walk out of the Home Depot Store in Westover with two metal doors. They were exterior doors, valued at about $200 apiece. The store’s employees stopped him as he attempted to leave without paying for them, and called the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. They’ve now charged 62-year-old John Facik with petit larceny. They also searched Facik and discovered a pipe used to smoke crack. He now also faces a count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on court appearance tickets.
