A man was arrested after police say he tried to break into an ATM at a local bank. It happened at the NBT Bank on Main Street in Johnson City. Village police said on both Friday and Saturday, 47-year-old Gerald Wicks tried breaking into the bank’s ATM. He was found behind the bank Saturday and arrested. Wicks was arraigned in village court and taken to the Broome County Jail.
