Two firefighters were injured after flames tore through a home in Johnson City early Monday morning. It sparked just before 4 a.m. along Lusk Street in the village. Firefighters from Johnson City and the Binghamton fire departments worked to put out the fire. No one was inside, but one firefighter was taken to Wilson Hospital for exhaustion and is expected to be alright. A second firefighter suffered a hand injury and was treated on scene. Neighbors say a dog was trapped inside. Crews say the fire was intense when they got to the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials say it seems accidental. Siding on a neighboring home was also damaged by the fire.
