State Police out of Binghamton arrested a Newark Valley man for assault stemming from an investigation into a bar fight. The fight is said to have taken place inside the Remedy Tavern at 5 Mile Point Plaza in Kirkwood early Sunday morning. 35-year-old Henry Chase is accused of punching the victim in the face during the fight, causing injury. Chase was charged with assault in the third degree, and is due in Kirkwood Town Court next month.
