One of the drivers involved in an early morning accident on Thursday in Kirkwood passed away over the weekend, according to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. 71-year-old James Church of Binghamton died from injuries he sustained in a head-on collision early Thursday morning at the intersection of Court Street and Loughlin Road. The sheriff’s office says it was caused when the car driven by James crossed in front of another vehicle driven by 48-year-old Dawn Robinson. James was not wearing his seatbelt, and succumbed to his injuries late Friday night at a Syracuse hospital. Robinson was treated and released at Wilson Hospital.
