Several people traveling on Interstate 81 on Sunday spotted a possible drunk driver, then one of the citizens took matters into their own hands in order to assist police. Travelers noticed a vehicle driving erratically near the New York and Pennsylvania border on I-81. Multiple people called police to alert them. The vehicle was heading north when it pulled off the highway and stopped at the Gateway rest area in Kirkwood. When it stopped, one of the callers used their vehicle to block the drunk driver in until State Police arrived on the scene. Troopers arrested 31-year-old Lisa Pastella of Maryland for driving while intoxicated. Her blood alcohol content was reportedly .19, over twice the legal limit.
