The sentencing date for the son of New York State Senator Tom Libous has been rescheduled. Matthew Libous will be sentenced on May 18th, according to the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York. Libous was originally scheduled to be sentenced April 29th. In January 2015, a U.S. District Court judge found Libous guilty of three counts of subscribing to false tax returns. Each count carries a maximum penalty of three years, according to the United States Department of Justice.
