A Norwich man who was reported missing on Christmas Day has been found. 73-year-old Gary Powell, who suffers from dementia, was found safe on Thursday. He was driving his PT Cruiser along Interstate 81 in Binghamton when someone who had recognized his vehicle from a missing persons report called police. A nearby State Trooper pulled Powell over and he was taken to the state police barracks and released shortly after to his family.
