Broome County Humane Society’s second annual Model Train show raised money to find animals forever homes. People from around Greater Binghamton stopped by Owego Elks Emporium on Sunday, look at trains and giving donations. Volunteers said all of the proceeds go directly to the Humane Society. Animal and train lovers alike raised awareness for the Humane Society by coming together. One man displayed a village he built, modeled after where he grew up. Amidst the train admiring, people shared stories about their pets. Broome County Humane Society currently has 100 animals in their care. Sunday’s model train show raised $550.
