Police have released information related to an arrest made last week at the Broome County Jail, when a mother attempted to smuggle a narcotic medication to her son. 57-year-old Paula Gelunas of Glen Aubrey attempted to pass her son Suboxone Sublingual films, a medication used for opioid dependence, to her son, 32-year-old Frank Gelunas. She allegedly padded the side of a band-aid with the drug. The mother was arrested and charged with a felony count of promoting prison contraband, and her son was given the same charge.
