New York state announced this week that two dozen upstate counties are eligible for federal aid to cover recovery costs related to the March blizzard. Among the counties eligible to apply for the aid are Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Tioga and Counties. The state estimates the cost of cleanup from the blizzard is more than $31 million.
