The Ormond Trailer Park in Westover is expected to see more of its flood-damaged homes taken down. 15 homes in the park have already been torn down, and 52 total will be brought down throughout the process. The area was flooded back in September 2011 when the Nanticoke Creek flowed over the banks, and residents say the water rose 4 feet within 10 minutes, destroying their homes. The area has since been condemned. Officials for the Town of Union say the land will stay forever green after demolition is complete, but it could be transformed into a recreational park.
