The Conrad and Virginia Klee Foundation have awarded the Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network of Binghamton a three year grant worth $80,846. The grant will fund a Community Outreach and Education Coordinator, who will conduct in-office visits with medical providers to improve health outcomes for pregnant women, infants and families. The Coordinator will establish connections between the Network and health care providers and hospitals in the region to conduct education, make referral connections, and share resources to facilitate better patient outcomes. The grant is also intended to help increase the number of health care providers who refer patients to community-based support services based on the patient’s personal needs.
