Authorities have now identified the woman killed on I-81 North Friday morning near Kirkwood as 68-year-old Sandra Roloson. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office says Roloson was found lying on the roadway, and that she was run over by her own vehicle. Deputies say Roloson pulled over on the roadway for an unknown reason and got out of her car, but the vehicle was in reverse and rolled the woman over, pinning her underneath. Roloson died at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating, and were assisted by the 5-Mile and City of Binghamton Fire Departments as well as the DOT. The accident occurred near Exit 3 on I-81 North in Kirkwood just before 6am.
