The New York State Department of Transportation will have lane closures at various locations within the Prospect Mountain construction project this week. Today through Friday from 9 to 3, I-81 southbound will have periodic lane closures, which will reduce traffic to one lane between the Front Street exit and Binghamton exit for temporary concrete barrier work. Chenango Street will have periodic, alternating lane closures between Moffatt Avenue and Sturges Street this week for sidewalk and shoulder work. These procedures will be performed weather permitting.
