The New York State Department of Transportation is one step closer to a big milestone in the completion of the Prospect Mountain Project. Phase one of the project is 43 percent complete.
Nearly half of the bridge over Chenango Street, from east to west, is completed. The NYS DOT says traffic will soon shift to the new portion of the bridge. Concrete and new structures are being built on Mygatt Street. The DOT hopes for a few more months in the construction season to complete more of the project. They credit the community for smooth flow of work.
