Several area businesses including one from Tioga County were honored by the Small Business Administration earlier this month. Northeast Implements, a division of Klett Enterprises, owned by Charles Klett of Owego’s Southside, was one of 23 businesses honored statewide with an Excellence Award in Syracuse on May 6th. The SBA, New York Business Development Corporation, economic developers, and lenders nominate and select final award recipients annually for their outstanding achievements, and positive economic impact on the community. The presentation was made at the SBA’s 15th annual luncheon in Syracuse. Other local award recipients included Click-Care, LLC of Vestal, Head Over Heels Gymnastics, also of Vestal, Nanticoke Gardens in Endicott, and Taughannock Media of Ithaca.
