The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of six people in Owego for drug-related charges. The arrests come as a result of the department’s ongoing investigation into the distribution and use of illegal drugs in Tioga County, with an emphasis placed on drug issues in the Village of Owego. The Criminal Investigation Division made six arrests on Tuesday after grand jury indictments were handed down from Tioga County Judge Gerald Keene. All six suspects were arrested on felony charges and sent to the Tioga County jail while they await arraignment in Tioga County court. Five were arrested on charges of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, including 22-year-old Andrea Tucker of Owego, 31-year-old Tyrone Crenshaw of Endicott, 25-year-old Michael Darling of Apalachin, 30-year-old Christin Cade of Owego, and 28-year-old Summer Drury of Owego. 20-year-old Darrick Cody, of Tioga, was charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Other investigations are expected to continue as the sheriff’s department obtains more information.
