The Southern Tier Chapter of the American Red Cross honored the humanitarian efforts of several volunteers across the area at their annual volunteer recognition dinner Wednesday night at Tioga Downs. Volunteers comprise 94 percent of the Southern Tier Chapter’s workforce, delivering services to residents in Tioga, Broome, Chenango, and Delaware Counties. 22 volunteers were honored Wednesday, including several from Tioga County. Among them were Jason Ross from Tioga Downs, and Martha Saurbrey from the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce.
