SUNY Broome has announced the largest philanthropic gift in the history of the college. The estates of Emil Calice and Mildred Barton have formed a $10 million scholarship fund for the school. Calice was not a graduate of the school, but was a longtime Binghamton resident and IBM employee. Barton also worked at IBM in Endicott during World War II.
