A teenage girl was killed in a dirt bike accident last week. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has just released information regarding a crash involving 15-year-old Kayla Hartwell of Harpursville. Hartwell was riding a dirt bike Wednesday when her clothing became entangled in the rear chain and sprocket of the bike, causing her to crash. She was found by family in cardiac arrest and was transported by Colesville Ambulance to Wilson Regional Trauma Center, where she was later pronounced dead. The investigation into the case has been closed.
