Representatives from Tioga Downs spoke with SUNY Broome students Thursday night about casino gaming in New York State and its own plans of expansion. Topics discussed included the history of casino gaming, current laws and regulations, marketing, and a variety of casino games. They also discussed the possibility of opportunities for local jobs in the area in the event that a full casino license is granted to one of the nearby entities. A decision by the state on which groups will receive a casino license is expected in the fall.
