Tom Libous was in federal court yesterday afternoon in White Plains for a pre-trial hearing. The longtime Republican Senator was indicted in July 2014 on a felony charge of making a false statement to the FBI. Libous is waiting on the judge to decide on pretrial motions including dismissing the case, and moving the trial from the federal court in White Plains to Albany. Senator Libous is accused of lying to the FBI when agents questioned him about using his political influence to get his son a job and secure his salary at a law firm in Westchester.
