School boards for both Chenango Forks and Chenango Valley school districts will vote this evening to determine whether or not the merger process for the two schools will continue. The boards will be voting to determine whether the decision of a merger of the two districts will be put in the hands of the public. The plan to combine schools has drawn some opposition, particularly from residents of the Forks district who would see an increase in taxes if the merger were to go through.
