Chenango Forks Elementary School has joined Congressman Anthony Brindisi in his Valentines for Vets program to honor Upstate New York veterans. More than 30 classes at Chenango Forks Elementary created cards thanking veterans for their service and sacrifice. This afternoon, local veterans will join Chenango Forks students and staff for an assembly about the importance of recognizing veterans throughout the year. Congressman Brindisi will share a video message with the students, and his team will be on hand to collect valentines to be delivered later to the Oxford Veterans’ Home. Anyone in Brindisi’s district can participate in Valentines for Vets by dropping off homemade valentines to either of Congressman Brindisi’s district offices by Monday.
