Traci’s Hope will be hosting a 5K at the Vestal Elks Lodge this weekend. Traci’s Hope is a not-for-profit organization that looks to raise funds to help people diagnosed with breast cancer pay for everyday items. The organization’s namesake, Traci Gibson, passed away from breast cancer in 2006, and her father, Gordy Shiner, looks to honor Traci’s memory by helping others facing similar challenges.

This weekend’s 5K will be held at the Vestal Elks Lodge at 2071 Vestal Parkway West on Sunday. The run kicks off at 10 o’clock with registration starting at 8:30. The pre-registration cost is $20 and day-of-race registration is $25. The night before, on Saturday, Traci’s Hope will be hosting a spaghetti dinner at the Elks Lodge where participants can register for Sunday’s race.
