Vestal’s Rail Trail is expected to receive its $2.7 million expansion in 2014. The renovations to the trail are part of a regional push to connect walking, hiking, and biking pathways across the Southern Tier. Funding was originally secured back in 2009, and now the trail, which is owned by the Town of Vestal, is expected to double in length to over 4 miles.
