Vestal Police have arrested a woman for abandoning dozens of cats. They said 59-year old Mary Herko-Daniels moved out of her home on Lincoln Drive sometime last October and left behind 50 cats. Many of the animals were described as malnourished and in need of medical attention. The Broome County Humane Society took in the felines and will make them available for adoption once they’re brought back to health. Herko-Daniels is charged with Abandonment of Animals and Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance to the cats.
