A Town of Triangle man was killed in a fire at his residence on Saturday. State Police say 59-year-old Mark Masler was one of two occupants rescued from a fire on Kemak Road around 5:30pm Saturday. Masler was taken to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City and then to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, but succumbed to severe burns over a majority of his body. The other occupant was not injured. State Police say the cause of the fire is under investigation. Several fire departments from Broome, Cortland, and Chenango Counties fought the fire.
